Servo Marine 1040 is the next generation oil for marine engines best suited for modern medium-speed trunk piston engines and high speed engines common in marine propulsion and land-based diesel generator (DG) sets requiring distillate fuels or marine diesel fuel having sulphur content upto 1%. The oil meets all the specifications for marine use such as enhanced TBN retention that prolongs the oil life, suitable dispersibility qualities, minimal Ring and Liner erosion, and provides utmost defense against corrosive and adhesive wear at higher temperatures. Compared to commercial API CD level oils, this oil offers excellent anti-wear protection and separates from water readily.
