Servo Marine 3040 has emerged as a state-of-the-art oil in medium-speed engines for maritime use and land-based diesel generator systems which are based on the energy transformation law and are comprised of an engine driven by diesel and a power generator. Diverse laboratory tests show that this oil performs remarkably well including the MWM KD 12E engine test for piston hygiene. Owing to its high TBN retention, this oil is applied for cylinder lubrication of cross head diesel engines where 30 or 40 TBN oil is needed. TBN (Total Base Number) is the amount of alkaline in a lubricant to prevent acid accumulation. The oil safeguards the engine from overall wear and ensures the cleanliness of piston and liner. Moreover, the oil is characterized by its high separability from water. Endorsed by leading engine manufacturers including Rolls Royce, UK, MAN B & W (Holeby) Engines and Wartsila NSD, Finland for Vasa 22/26, Vasa 22, and Vasa 32 engines, this oil has created a niche for itself in the oil industry.
