Servo Marine 5540 is one of the most recent marine engine oils used to maintain the proper functioning of present medium-speed trunk engines. Also used in crosshead diesel engines for cylinder lubrication, this oil exhibits the desirable characteristics such as resistance against rust and adhesive damage at elevated temperatures, improved TBN retention to hinder acid build-up, reduced Ring and Liner wear and effortless separation from water. This oil meets the service classification CD of American Petroleum Institute (API) ensuring high quality and efficiency and effectively qualifies the MWM-B engine evaluation for high temperature deposit management. It is approved by the leading Finnish automobile manufacturing company, Wartsila NSD, for Vasa 22, 22/26 and Vasa 32 engine models. The TBN of this oil is 55 mg KOH/g which is the basicity content in it to resist clogging and corrosion and withstand extreme settings.
